Datasets Basics |
|
In-depth
analysis usually requires datasets. Datasets are defined as the factual
records used as primary sources for research, and they are widely
viewed in the research community as necessary to validate research
findings. Researchers are increasingly expected to ensure that the data
they use to probe their hypotheses are at once findable, accessible,
interoperable and reusable. A critical aspect of scholarly research is
providing clear documentation for your data and data management
practices. This is important not only for the reproducibility of results
and data integrity, but is often required by publishers and funding
sources. In the following list of sources we hope to shed a little more
light on the complex task of managing research data.
